Al Manahil Private School is licensed by the UAE Ministry of Education and, according to its directive, a programme of Arabic and Islamic Studies (for Muslim students) is conducted. From Kindergarten to Grade 8, the school follows the National Curriculum as set by the Department of Education and Skills, United Kingdom. From Grade 9 onwards, we have the Cambridge University Curriculum “O” and “A” level. The school is also certified to be a Cambridge International Centre, after meeting all the standards required to be one.
Al-Manahil Pvt. School aims to deliver a broad, balanced, and progressive curriculum designed to meet the intellectual, physical, creative and spiritual needs of our pupils. In this respect, we also aim to equip pupils with the skills and attitudes necessary to contribute responsibly to society at large. Within this curricular context, we create equal opportunities for all of our learners and try our best to facilitate a reasonable range of extra curricular activities.
As a school which teaches children aged 3 to 21 with a range of ability levels, it is important to see the above statement within the context of the learning and developmental stage of each pupil; as well as the calendar age of the individual.
Staff are encouraged to employ an appropriate variety of teaching styles and approaches with the pupils including whole class, small group and personalised learning strategies depending upon the concepts and curriculum being delivered.
Our taught curriculum is essentially planned and delivered through the 7 ‘Stages` within this class range, as identified below:
- Kindergarten – KG 1 & KG 2
- Elementary - Grade 1 & 2
- Primary – Grade 3 , 4 & 5
- Middle School - Grade 6 & 7
- Checkpoint - Grade 8
- IGCSE - Grade 9 & 10
