KINDERGARTEN

In the KGs, we follow a programme of learning in accordance with the aims and principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage as outlined in the British National Curriculum.
The teaching focus in the  primary years is on the encouragement and nurture of happy, confident and independent learners. We use the Literacy and Numeracy frameworks as a base for teaching and learning. However, whilst maintaining a focus on literacy and numeracy, a cross curricular ‘topic’ based method is used to deliver the breadth of curriculum subjects.

ELEMENTARY

At Elementary, pupils have a timetable of between nine and eleven subjects each week. The teaching, some of it again cross curricular,  together with the junior school activities programme enables pupils to apply their knowledge and understanding within wider educational contexts.

PRIMARY

Teaching is delivered by the teaching staff in the Primary Section of the school, and within the restrictions of the school timetable, broadly follows ADEC Framework of Curriculum guidance in most subjects particularly in English, Mathematics, Science, Arabic, Islamiyat and Social Studies.

MIDDLE SCHOOL & CHECKPOINT

This stage of our pupil’s learning development provides the foundation for the knowledge and understanding required at IGCSE level and in the first 3 year pupils study 11 subjects. 

IGCSE

In the start of the session, G 9 pupils make their GCSE choices. The school suggests that pupils select a  `broad` curriculum at IGCSE level with a healthy balance of Science & Commerce based subjects within the restrictions of the choices available.   Mathematics, English and ICT form the core curriculum in IGCSE and these subjects are taken by all pupils at IGCSE level.
